Do you carry the 'Nottingham Standard' for accreditation? If not act now and save money

Nottingham City Council currently pays for landlords to join the 'Nottingham Standard' via DASH Landlord Accreditation, due to future funding reductions by Nottingham City Council the amount they subsidized accreditation has been reduced

Landlords who wish to carry the 'Nottingham Standard' will be charged via the UNIPOL and the DASH route as of 1st February 2018. The charge they receive will continue to be supplemented by Nottingham City Council to ensure the amount charge for accreditation isn't a barrier to access.

If 'Selective Licensing' comes into force then it will be landlords who carry the 'Nottingham Standard' who receive the £255.00 accreditation fee discount on EACH property captured under licensing.

The following scale of charges will apply for DASH Accreditation from 1st February 2018 for properties located in Nottingham and are per landlord not per property:

Landlords with:

1 - 5 properties will be charged £95

6 - 11 properties will be charged £160

12 - 29 properties will be charged £380

30 - 39 properties will be charged £500

40 plus properties - price on application

For further information please call DASH Services on 01332 64 11 11 or visit https://www.dashservices.org.uk/Accreditation/Frequently-asked-questions

Nottingham City Council expect the decision by Government to come late January 2018 in respect to their Selective Licensing scheme.

To recap, Nottingham City have requested permission to license over 32,000 properties across the city. In other words, more or less ever residential let across Nottingham not currently falling under HMO licensing. If Nottingham receives permission to proceed they hope to start licensing in April 2018.

The license fee for an unaccredited property will be £655.00 for 5 years and £400.00 for an accredited property so as you can see even if you own just one property it appears financially beneficial to carry the 'Nottingham Standard'
